Scarborough Trip
24th January 2019. Scarborough Trip Today’s adventure would see some of the lads take their annual January visit to the East coast resort of Scarborough, a trip done many times before but still greeted with the same enthusiasm. The group for today’s experience will be Keith, Derek, Malcolm, Dave and John, all meeting up at Leeds Railway Station in order to board the 9:21 train leaving from platform 11b. A few minutes late the train pulled away and our journey began, a cold day had been the early forecast so suitable attire was the order of the day, but much to our surprise a rather pleasant day was the outcome, plenty of sunshine and relatively no east coast breezes to deal with. We eventually arrived at Scarborough a few minutes after 10:30. Our plans for today were to walk from the South Bay along Marine Drive heading for the North Bay and once there enjoy the delights of the fishery situated near by, this is what was achieved.
