Ice Breaker’s at Roundhay Park.

Tuesday 23rd. June 2020.            Ice Breaker’s at Roundhay Park Today saw the first adventure for some of the lads since early March, the deadly Corvid-19 virus being the culprit of a worldwide pandemic, leading to serious lockdown measures being put in place. So it is with bated breath that two of the group along with a fellow workmate have decided to break the ice so to speak and take a trip to Roundhay Park in Leeds. The lads in question are John and Colin along with a guest appearance by Ian Piercy , this is the first meeting for a long, long time between these former workmates about 15 years or so, as you can imagine there was a lot of catching up to do.  Firstly though the lads had to make there way to this venue, by what means were at their disposal. For John it would involve a three bus journey there and back, for Colin maybe 2, Ian came by car. Certain rules are now in place for public transport use, so this was of concern to both of the Lads but according to reports all we

Blast from the past for the Lads

Saturday 13th June 2020   Some guys have all the luck when a virus hits town, while others have a more difficult experience to endure. I refer to me, Dave. Whichever way you look at the situation this Corvid-19 has caused, some how I feel the lucky one of the bunch. I ventured out to the island of Menorca, which is situated out in the Mediterranean Sea. I came for a 3 week break along with my wife, that was back in early March, 14 weeks later and we are still here, making the most of things. Unfortunately unable to return to the UK at the present time. The situation out here in Menorca regarding the virus pandemic, as been far less of a threat to the public than back home in the UK.  So for you Lads who are missing our outings and adventures ,yet again I have come to the rescue with a blast from the past to brighten up your day, hopefully you can re-live some of these magic times we have spent together. Cheers Lads.
