Down Stream from Ilkley

Thursday 23rd  July.                Down Stream from Ilkley  Today’s walk was down the right hand side of the river and on towards the suspension bridge  and beyond. A limited number of 3 participants for this adventure here in the West Yorkshire town. They will be Colin and Brian who are travelling there by train from Leeds and John who is is taking a bus ride journey via Keighley. They should rendezvous just after 11:30 and then make their way to the river. From here it was down the spiral steps and along the footpath for a couple of miles passing the suspension  bridge which is located opposite Middleton Woods which is a delightful spot to visit during the Bluebell season . They now continued their journey beyond the bridge until they felt it was time to return and head back to the town centre and visit the Listers Arms for a well deserved lunch. Surprisingly all three of them chose the same meal which consisted of Gammon Eggs and Chips, unfortunately the Gammon was a little bit ove
