City of Chester

25th June 2019.              Visit to the city of Chester  For their adventure today the lads have decided to travel to the county of Cheshire and visit the historic city of Chester. Although the journey may be somewhat lengthy it proved to be worth while. Yet again the adventure started off at Leeds railway station for some of the lads others joining at different locations along the way.The group will consist of Colin Keith Malcolm then John Derek and Dave, all hoping to reach the city just after midday, which is indeed what happened. The weather forecast for today’s adventure looked rather bleak with heavy rains due for most of the day, someone must have said their prayers last night, for on arrival at Chester the rain had already been and gone. Although dull at first it  became more brighter as the day progressed. Eden Camp

13th. June 2019.       Eden Camp Experience  For today’s adventure the lads are heading for East Yorkshire to experience what Eden Camp has to offer. This was a former P.O.W. Establishment which was built to house mainly Italian prisoners although some German where also interned there. The site is situated near the town of Malton, so the lads will take a train journey from Leeds then a short bus ride from the station at Malton to the Camp Site. A group of seven for today’s outing will include Derek  Dave  John  Colin  Keith and Eddie along with a  guest appearance of John Howarth a former member of the Thackray workforce. The lads have planned to catch the 9:21 train at Leeds then all going to plan hop on board the  10:15 Coastliner Bus which should drop them off just a short walk away from the Camp.
