The Three Amigos go West

11th. December 2018.             Littleborough to Walsden

Reduced in numbers due to other commitments, it was only a group of three that took part in today’s adventure. A canal side walk from The Lancashire town of Littleborough back to the village of Walsden on the outer reaches of Yorkshire

. The Three Amigos so to speak will be Colin Dave and John. They have made arrangements to meet on the 10:20 train from Leeds heading for Southport. This is a journey of just about an hour ,calling at many stations along its way has it follows the river and canal heading west. A better day than expected greeted the lads has they reached Littleborough and began their canal side walk. They will follow the Liverpool to Rochdale canal for approximately 4 miles until they reach their intended destination of Grandma Pollards, a well known Fish and Chip outlet in the village of Walsden, where they will thoroughly enjoy a well earned lunch.
As time wasn’t an issue a steady pace of walking was achieved including several stops along their way to reflect on passed adventures in this region. They eventually reached Grandma Pollards shortly after 1:30 , their train back home was due to leave Walsden at a couple of minutes past 3. So plenty of time to relax and enjoy their lunch and plan future adventures for the forthcoming year ahead.
Cheers Lads
Yet another great day out.
